Healthly Breakfast Cookies for Little Mouths

by thev7591 on February 17, 2012

Abebe helped me make these awesome Oatmeal Raisin Breakfast Cookies from Chocolate Covered Katie. It’s a perfect recipe to make with little helping hands. He loved mashing the applesauce and peanut butter together and using the large melon baller to scoop and drop the dough onto the cookie sheet. Then we counted each scoop to see how many cookies we could get out of the batter (came out to 11).

Once they baked, I set them on the counter to cool, but I didn’t have time to even put them on a plate before my lil’ man ate four. His tiny hand kept creeping up to the counter to grab them from the foil. Success!

I was pretty shocked how much he liked these cookies, because he has such a huge sweet tooth and these cookies have zero sugar. Also, he did not like them earlier in the week when I used banana. I’m so glad I tried again with the applesauce! This is definitely a recipe I will come back to often.
